Samsung A32 5G Officially Arrives in the US
Samsung’s latest midrange phone, the Galaxy A23 5G was unveiled for the US market without much ballyhoo. Although there is another variant of this phone, the Galaxy A23 (LTE only) that was introduced in early March 2022 for emerging markets, the latest 5G version is aiming for a slice of the North American market this time around.
The Galaxy A23 5G version was unveiled in early August and is now available unlocked with a more wallet-friendly price of $300. You can get this device through US carrier AT&T, Samsung Experience store, and pretty much every major online retailer right now.
A 120hz Screen Makeover
The key selling point of the Samsung A23 5G is its next-generation connectivity. However, this mid-range phone comes with a high refresh rate that makes scrolling to its 6.6″, Full HD+ display look silky smooth.
A 120Hz display, combined with 5G capability makes for a gas guzzler of a phone, so a lesser battery capacity battery could bring the whole experience down. Fortunately, its massive 5000 mAh built-in battery should make sure that stamina won’t be an issue here.
In terms of aesthetics, the Galaxy A23 5G deviates too little from its predecessor. It still sports an “Infinity V” design which admittedly felt like an already outmoded cutout style for the front camera. The bottom chin looks a bit outdated as well. The truth is there are many better-designed phones out there in this price range.
Meanwhile, the Quad-camera set-up consists of a primary camera with a 50MP sensor with optical stabilization, a 5MP ultrawide sensor, 2MP for Bokeh-style photos, and a 2MP sensor for super close micro shots. The notch is hiding an 8MP camera for taking selfies.
Nothing too fancy when it comes to the fingerprint sensor; it is side-mounted and dare I say more reliable than the in-display type biometrics.
At the bottom part of the A23 5G are the 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
Lastly, the Galaxy A23 5G is available right now in the US via online and physical stores and sold only in black color.
