Samsung A23 (LTE) vs Samsung A23 5G: Same but Different
Here we are going to take a look at the Samsung Galaxy A23, which has a 5G and a non-5G variant. At first glance, they look pretty much identical – on the surface at least. Both were released in 2022 but what set them apart is the earlier availability of Galaxy A23 LTE, which was around March. Subsequently, the Galaxy A23 5G was later released in September 2022 in the US. So let’s compare the two decently specced mid-rangers because there will be a definitely clear winner here.

Both Galaxy A23 variants still have the legacy design and look indistinguishable from each other. The “Infinity V” cutout looks a bit dated at this point and a bottom chin indicates they simply applied the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” design mantra here. If you are looking for a more contemporary designed phone, then you might as well check out the Galaxy A53, which we have found to be around $350 now in a popular online store.
The LTE and 5G versions have dimensions that are an exact carbon of each other. They slightly differ in weight though – the latter is 2 grams heavier.

There is no doubt that the more capable 5G version will cost much more than the LTE version. The 5G sells for $299 in the US, while the unlock version of LTE only version costs as low as $180 US we found on an online store.
