Display Quality: Galaxy A53 5G vs A23 5G
Both mid-rangers have Full HD+ resolution and are capable of 120Hz refresh rate which brings overall smoothness to the experience. However, the display parity ends there. The Galaxy A53 5G pull ahead has a more vibrant Super AMOLED panel which makes images pop out and blacks are very deep. The display of the Galaxy A23 5G won’t be terrible either, however it has nothing on the A53 5G in terms of color accuracy and sunlight legibility.
Exynos 1280 vs Snapdragon 695 5G
The Exynos 1280 of the Galaxy A53 5G chipset delivers better performance compared to the Snapdragon 695 5G of the Galaxy A32. Even the 5nm of the former provides better power efficiency compared to the latter. The advantage of the Snapdragon processor, in general, is that it has better supported when it comes to game optimization. But certainly, the Galaxy A53 5G takes this one.
Galaxy A53 5G vs A32: Cameras
We’ve been using the Galaxy A53 5G for a while now but we find the main camera just average. It is not terribly bad by any means but it is not any near flagship quality. We have little expectation about the quality of the A32 5G but that really comes with the territory of phones in this price range.
Price: Should you get the Galaxy A53 5G or the Galaxy A23 5G?
The Galaxy A23 5G was introduced with an unlocked price of $300. Though that sounds a steal in terms of overall value, the Galaxy A53 is also being sold online like Amazon for just $350 and gets even cheaper with discount deals. The A53 5G has a better display thanks to the Super AMOLED panel, a better-performing processor, and perhaps an edge in terms of camera. So the A53 5G pretty much outdo the Galaxy A23 5G in most facets of the game. In the end, it is a no-brainer choice — provided you are willing to shell out a few more dollars for the better device overall.
