Samsung Galaxy Note7: Specs and Release Date
Samsung Galaxy Note7 is here and while not exactly revolutionary or groundbreaking device, that isn’t exactly a bad thing either— as proven by their profit driver, the Galaxy S7 which is essentially a refinement of Galaxy S6. Though features are not leaps and bounds better than the Note5, there are subtle things that make this a compelling buy for first time and legacy phablet owners.
The display retains its 5.7 size of the SAMOLED kind which brings lively colors and deep blacks on the screen with ultra sharp QHD display. It is also capable of streaming HDR video technology, that is typically unheard of in a phone. The curved screen resembles the bezel-less sides of the S7 edge but it is not as prominent to avoid accidental touches. The Note7 now comes with IP68 water resistant body which is definitely a welcome feature.
The Note7 improves upon traditional features of the series, among them is the enhanced S Pen experience. The stylus now comes with 0.7mm tip with much improved pressure sensitive that makes it feel as if you are using a pen. You can also use the S Pen even when the screen is wet which made possible by Note7’s water resistant feature.
Apart from the fingerprint recognition, there is another biometric and security feature in the form of an iris scanner. Though some may find iris recognition as hit or miss in terms of usability, it is at least just another option to authenicate purchases which is compatible with Samsung Pay.
As for the camera, it shares the same sensor of the Galaxy S7 which means it will have the same very capable shooter that is among the very best in any mobile these days. As such, shooting in different condition, even in low light is going to be a pleasant experience along with the enhanced manual camera software.
