This Samsung Galaxy A53 5G Case Confirms Removal of Audio Jack
Samsung has yet to unveil the Galaxy A53 5G officially but a little bit of armchair sleuthing points to its imminent release as bits and pieces of details are slowly trickling in. There is already a picture of a 3D mock-up online wherein a set of images shows renders of Galaxy A53 5G in its full glory. What’s noticeable though at first glance is that the mid-ranger doesn’t deviate much to its predecessor, the Galaxy A52. However, the press render also reveals some improvement and changes in overall design; this Galaxy A53 5G case that we obtained seemingly corroborates it.
The Galaxy A53 5G has No Headphone Jack
According to leaks, the Galaxy A53 5G will have a divisive feature, particularly for wired headphone users. It will probably be the first Samsung mid-range phone without a headphone jack. The photo of the case shows there is a missing circular cut-out for the 3.5mm audio jack.
Less Curved, More Flatter Edges at the Back
Among the reported subtle changes happen at the rear panel wherein the rounded edges are ditched in favor of a more flatter design. That appears to be spot on based on the image of the interior of the case.
Slightly Thinner Body than the Galaxy A52
Based on OnLeaks render, the Galaxy A53 5G will have a slightly thinner body compared to its predecessor. Looking at the case, the camera module will get a little makeover. It looks less jarring this time around as it tapers around the edges more smoothly which blends much nicer with less edgy protrusion.
Difference in Volume and Power Button Location
Upon comparing the Galaxy A53 5G case with an actual unit of Galaxy A52s 5G, we have noticed a difference in the position of volume and power button at the side. They are located differently, as the Galaxy A53 5G side buttons had a slightly lower arrangement. This also means the cases for the Galaxy A52 will not be compatible with Galaxy A53.
There are indications that the Galaxy A53 5G is nearing its release date. The phone has already made its way to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), with corresponding model number of SM-A536E/DS as divulged by mysmartprice website. The phone has also been spotted online on the listing of Compulsory Certificate of China (3C). The listing has revealed that the phone will be packaged with a 15W charger, however it also supports faster charging.
Based on Geekbench‘s listing posted at the end of last year, these are the specs of the Galaxy A53 5G that we know so far: The phone will be powered by Exynos 1200 processor, Android 12 is going to be its OS, and will have a 6GB RAM.
Apparently, its 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen will have a 120Hz refresh rate. Just like its predecessor, it is expected to have an identical in-display fingerprint reader and an IP68 rating.
