Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge Marshmallow update imminent as South Korea rolls out Android 6.0.1 firmware
It seems Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge owners wont have to wait too long to get the taste of Marshmallow goodness to their respective S6 handsets– as Samsung finally released the long awaited update to South Korea.
Android 6.0.1 update brings more than just skin deep changes. There are noticeable interface changes such as such as status bar and quick toggles that are now white. One of the most exciting feature of Marshmallow, Google Now on Tap, which allows you to pull up relevant information by guessing what might be helpful at the time, also comes in the update.
Marshmallow was released back in October last year and it seems it really took quite a while for vendors such as Samsung to prepare their flagship to get the latest Android iteration. As for the date when S6 users outside of South Korea will get to experience Android 6.0, it expected that it shouldn’t take too long though there’s no official word yet from Samsung.
