Samsung A54 and A34 are officially unveiled: Midrange phone with premium perks
Samsung has recently launched two mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54. Both phones feature a 1080p Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Vision Booster support, as well as an IP67 rating for dust and water protection and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging.
The Galaxy A54 is the smaller phone with a 6.4-inch display, while the Galaxy A34 features a larger 6.6-inch display. The Galaxy A54 comes with a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide shooter, and a 5MP macro camera, with a 32MP selfie camera.
The Galaxy A34 has a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP macro shooter, with a 13MP selfie camera. The Galaxy A54 is powered by the 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset, while the Galaxy A34 is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080.
Both phones come with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of expandable storage. The Galaxy A54 is priced at €490 for the 6/128GB model, while the Galaxy A34 costs €390 for the 6/128GB model, with the 8/256GB model on sale for €409.
The Galaxy A54 has an enhanced Vision Booster and is equipped with a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, making it brighter than any other phone in the Galaxy A series. The phone is also equipped with a 32MP front camera that has improved optical image stabilization and seamless video calling. The Galaxy A54 features a 5nm Exynos 1380 chipset, which is more powerful and efficient than the Exynos 1280 in last year’s Galaxy A53 5G, and comes with up to four years of operating system updates. The phone is ideal for enterprises, small businesses, and consumers who prioritize longevity, as Samsung promises four generations of OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A34 features a larger 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display, making it ideal for users who prefer a bigger screen. The phone comes with a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide unit, and a 5MP macro shooter, and is equipped with a 13MP selfie camera. The Galaxy A34 is powered by the 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset, which is slightly less powerful than the Exynos 1380 chipset in the Galaxy A54.
In conclusion, the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 are both potentially mid-range phones that offer a lot of value for their price. The Galaxy A54 is more suitable for users who prioritize display quality and camera performance, while the Galaxy A34 is more suitable for users who prefer a larger screen and sligh.
