Leaked Note 8 design hints dual rear camera setup but fingerprint sensor can still be a sore point
With the untimely demise of the widely praised but later recalled Note7, its obvious the fiasco left a wide gaping hole in its wake in last year’s Samsung line up. Just like a clockwork, the latest and greatest iteration is expected this year and rumor has it that a new Note 8 is few months away from official unveiling. The Note 7 battery debacle is a very pricey learning experience for Samsung so much so that has a safety check in place to avoid predecessor’s debacle.
As mentioned, Galaxy Note 8 is just around the corner, which is expected to be introduced September if rumors were proven to be spot on. According to Ventrubeat’s Evan Blass, the upcoming device is going to be its most pricey premium device and it is going to be sold at around €999 when it arrives.
Meanwhile, it has already been an online tradition to preempt the arrival of an anticipated device via series of leaks and at the moment there are renders that shows how the Note8 will likely look. In the video by @OnLeaks x @91mobiles points to some expected feature of the phone since S8/S8+ paved the way how the design language is going to be moving forward. As such, the Note 8 will have a slightly bigger 6.3-inch Infinity display with a stunning curved corner. With the aspect ratio of 18.5:9, the screen will also have the nonexistent side bezel with minimal top and bottom part. They key differentiator of the Note series is its stylus but this time around, there is now a dual rear camera setup with alleged 12MP on both cameras that are sitting in a prominent hump.
According to CAD rendering video, the most divisive feature of the Galaxy S8 will be retained in the Note 8. The fingerprint scanner is still sitting near the camera though there are a flash/heart rate monitor that separates the two. At least it should lessen the likelihood of smudging the camera with finger which is common complaint with the S8.
Being on the cautious side, do take this so called leaks with a grain of salt. The fact is it is still months away for the Note 8 or whatever they decide to call it to be ready for prime time. These render are generated to give an idea of what the device should look like but not necessarily guaranteed accurate – that will only be answered come September unveiling.
