Samsung A Series 2017 is official: Comes with Water Resistance with Upgraded Camera
2016 has been a bumpy ride for the South Korean but this year, Samsung tries to start the year in high gear by releasing three upper mid-range devices. The new phones were announced via online press release includes the 5.7 inch Galaxy A7 2017, the 5.2 inch Galaxy A7 2017, and 4.7 inch Galaxy A5 2017. Each of the model sports Super AMOLED display and now comes with water and dust resistant with IP68 rating. A metal build gives it a premium feel and comes with choices of colors. Marshmallow 6.0 is going to be the Android version out of the box. The glaring omission —if you like to nitpick— is the absence of gyroscope therefore VR is a no go and one should look elsewhere (update: unlike the A series 2016, it seems there is now a gyro sensor for the 2017 lineup). The devices will be available in different market soon.
Galaxy A7 2017
The most notable of the bunch, mainly due to its size is the Galaxy A7 which comes at 5.7″ display. It also packs a Full HD, Super AMOLED and a fingerprint sensor. There is a 16MP snapper at the back with F1.9 aperture for capturing low light scenes. For selfie lovers, it has a whopping 16MP camera on the front that can also take 1080p videos. A water resistance rating, which is a staple in Samsung’s current flagship also makes it way in Galaxy A7 2017 as well. The presence of gyroscope for this upper mid-range however is going please VR fans out there.
