Google officially launches Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
The first generation of Google’s in-house phones are Android purist’s dream device, well if not then close enough. Pixel phones offers pure Android experience with none of the annoying bloatware found on other manufacturer. At the time, it has also the highest rated camera based on DxOMark score. Now with the release of their second generation phones, the 5 inch Pixel 2 and 6 inch Pixel 2 XL, Google built upon what made its predecessors great –and more in-line with other flagships in terms of specs and features.
The key differentiator that set the two models apart are the screen size and battery capacity – the rest of specs are virtually identical. Since the Pixels 2 are about being the best device to experience Google’s services, such as squeezing the sides with launch a powerful Assistant that analyzes and learns your daily routine, and from there relevant updates and information. Both devices have two speakers on the front so listening to music and watching media is enhanced by having a stereo output. This year’s Pixel phones are IP67 water-resistant so there is less worry about getting wet from rain and liquid splashes.
