Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P- A Spec comparison
Google has officially unveiled their own branded smartphone lineup for 2015 – the Huawei made Nexus 6P and and the LG made Nexus 5X. Both devices boasts a new and improved camera that should improve upon the camera of previous Nexus devices. Another common feature is a fingerprint sensor positioned at the rear of the phones and a future proof microUSB type-C port. Both devices are intended to showcase latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Nexus 6P
The more premium of the two is the Nexus 6P by Huawei is a 5.7 inch phablet with an AMOLED screen and a QHD resolution (1,440 x 2,560px). It has a metal unibody design that gives it a more luxurious high-end feel. One of the highlight of the Nexus 6P is its 12.3MP camera with large sensor, 1.55µm pixels and a wide aperture of F/2.0 – which impressively is touted already as among the best camera phone these days based on DxOMark tests.

Nexus 5X
The LG Nexus 5X is the more manageable in terms of size at 5.2 inches with more modest, but acceptable 1080p resolution. Though made entirely of plastic and qualifies as upper midrange device, the 5X is no slouch either. It is powered by Snapdragon 808 chipset and 2GB of RAM which is more than enough to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow as Google intended it- lightweight and bloat free. The rear is outfitted with 12MP camera with a wide f/2.0 aperture with 1.55 micron pixel size while the front camera is 5MP shooter. At the back of the phone, there is also a fingerprint sensor while USB type-C port can be found at the buttom. For US resident, you can now pre-order (both Nexus model) at Google Store while shipping date will be sometime in October – price start at $379.99 for the 16GB capacity.
