Galaxy S3 Mini Running Android 5.0.1 Lollipop via Unofficial Cyanogenmod 12
As reported, the elder devices such as the Galaxy S3 Mini will be amongst the first to receive the sweet Lollipop treat courtesy of diligent developers at XDA. With Lollipop seeded to vendors and a fresh version hitting ASOP in the form of 5.0.1 which is now available to get customized by devs, I decided to give it a try on my aging S3 Mini (I8190). Though it is still in its infancy, the Lollipop version of Android for the S3 Mini is very promising. Bugs and missing features are very understandable at this point in time, but there are so many things to get excited about with the latest version of Android and when it comes out of beta.
The screenshot below is a CYANOGENMOD 12 ROM that showcases what Lollipop has to offer for the device.

Sweet Easter Egg! |
As I mentioned, this is very much a demo of what’s in store for the Galaxy S3 Mini. There are updates needed in order to iron out some early-release kinks. But for those who cannot wait to give it a try, the unofficial Cyanogenmod 12 ROM can be downloaded at novafusion.pl website. Just make sure you back up everything first just in case.
