Google Pixel 4a is official: Snapdragon 730, Single Camera Lens with Night Sight for $349
Google Pixel 4a- Vanilla Android Phone for Everyone
Pixel phone are always a good phone, except there is always that something that hold it back to become a truly great overall experience for the masses. Be it some questionable design decisions such as dated looks, a suspect battery life or price that is hard to swallow, the Pixel line-up are that phone that could’ve been.
With the official unveiling of the Pixel 4a, things are looking better as the tech giant addressed some of those nagging issues. The Pixel 4a is undeniably the better looking device if you compare them side by side with its predecessor, the original Pixel 4. Gone is the ridiculous notch and instead, a more refined punch-hole that houses the front camera. For the fist time, and we say.. it’s about time, Google adapted bezel-less design language, which make the Pixel 4a every bit as modern looking as any other smartphones out there.
Nobody can dispute that Google Pixel knows their photography really well with sophisticated, game-changing camera for their smartphones. That legacy continues with the 4a with only a single 12.2MP lens rhat is backed by unparalleled camera algorithm to produce stunning results in all lighting conditions. Though one might argue that having a wide-angle camera could’ve been nice, but the Night Sight, Portrait, and Astrophotography mode are unmatched in the price range.
The Pixel 4a is considered a compact phone, but still has an ample 5.81-inch OLED screen with 1080 x 2340px resolution. There is a square camera bump at the back and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 processor with 6GB RAM and a quite spacious 128GB storage.
The phone will have a price tag of $349 in the US, which is a good deal as it undercut its competition like the iPhone SE and the Galaxy A51. You can preorder the Pixel 4a online via Google Play Store and Amazon with a release date on the 20th of August.
