LG announces K Series 2017 phones for the masses
Preempting its official CES 2017 announcement in Las Vegas, LG debuts their latest budget range phones in advance. The second generation K series continues to cater for the segment of the market looking for affordable phone that works. If you think manufacturers are spamming the market with varying models and price points, that still holds true to this time. Since getting overwhelmed with plethora of mid-range devices can be good or bad thing.
Behold the K10, K8, K4, K3 and LG Stylus 2017
With the K Series, LG reiterates that consumers don’t want a phone that has everything but the kitchen sink. Therefore, these devices are fitted with a certain stand out feature while the rest of the specs are what you would expect for a mid-range phone.
LG K10
According to LG, the same awesome camera of the G Series is also utilized in the 13MP camera of the K10. So essentially, this is for those who like the flagship quality shooter without the premium price tag. Of course, we have to wait and see if it will deliver on its promise once the device is officially out. For selfie enthusiast out there, the front camera comes with 120-degree wide angle lens but downgraded to 5MP unlike the one in the G5. As for the screen, it has 5.3″ HD with In-cell Touch Display and a 2.5D Arc Glass curvature. There is also a fingerprint sensor found on the rear which is first for an LG mid-ranger

LG K8
The K8 employs a 5-inch HD also with In-cell Touch display. In terms of the camera your standard 13MP main camera which come with in-house UX features such as Auto Shot and a handy gesture shot for shooting selfies. It has a slightly smaller frame compared to the K10 which brings slightly higher ppi at 294.

The K4 comes with 5-inch In-cell Touch display but at a much lower resolution of 854 x 480 which is just 196ppi. The cameras are also unremarkable as well with 5MP for both front and rear. As consolation, this is a svelte 7.9mm thin while the rest is hardly going to impress.

The K3 is expected to be the cheapest of the bunch with 4.5-inch On-cell Touch display. Features are pretty much as entry level as it gets nowadays with The 5MP rear camera and a 2MP selfie shooter, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and OS that is not even the latest. But as mentioned, this is for those who like the most basic experience or those who just want the most affordable LG K series to buy.

LG Stylus 3
LG Stylus series delivers a writing experience on a big screen phone but still considered a budget friendly price. The next generation promises to bring an enhanced stylus that is akin to using a real pen. It also comes with fingerprint sensor and software enhancement for better stylus experience. It brings a new note taking feature wherein you can even write memos even when the screen is off. Taking out the stylus also allows for automatically opening your memos to a quick note taking. Those features are reminiscent of the one in Galaxy Note series.
